Rubbish Removal

In these environment conscious days we all have to be careful about where and how we dispose of our rubbish – especially in London. Here at Shift Anything we take rubbish very seriously.

Under the 1990 UK Environmental Protection Act, all businesses are required by law to dispose of their waste properly. Under section 34 of this Act, it is required that all businesses producing commercial and industrial waste in any form will be subject to what is called the ‘Duty of Care’. This stipulates that by law, businesses must take all reasonable steps to look after any waste they handle & prevent its escape/illegal disposal by others.

Unfortunately there is a cost to London rubbish removal and we have to pay the waste transfer station a minimum charge of £65.00 + vat. However, we do operate a recycling policy and pride ourselves on wherever possible passing on second hand items to appropriate London charities or organisations.
